A big problem for Movies is that there is no standard format for the files or for the encoding used. This list from a Conceptronic spec gives some idea of the range. Furthermore the additional data required for HD challenges processors and internet connections.
Receiving TV programs and Recording TV programs to watch later is of interest to members. Technicalities of satellite TV are largely outside the scope of our investigations, but developments in Internet TV are of interest.
