British Embassy in Madrid
Help for British Nationals: Passports, Births Marriages and Deaths etc.

Dutch Embassy in Madrid
In Castellano. Doesn't seem to provide much information.

Alicante Government website for European Residents
Lots of information on making wills, NIE, Padrón etc.
Includes information on how to register for voting in the coming Municipal elections.


Spain Guide
Living, working or studying in Spain? Just Landed helps you manage everyday life.
Spain Guide covers topics like visas and permits, housing, jobs, property, banking, health and business.
Has a forum and tips on learning Spanish (take a look at Lo Mas TV - Pity you have to pay for it!)
Website also has German, Spanish, French Italian and Dutch versions from a drop down menu.

News and information for the International Community
Information about employment, housing education etc. Includes forums, Q&A etc. Covers several European countries.
Has a section on Spanish News in English

Typically Spanish
Mostly Spanish National and Regional News translated into English, classifieds etc.
Has features on History, Regions of Spain, National Parks etc.

Expat Forum -
The Spain Expats forum is a dedicated community of people that have moved to Spain. This is the place for Expats to meet and discuss anything including the Spanish way of life, working in Spain, food and property in Spain. (Moderator is from Xabia - wonder who she is ?? - Not CBJ!)

Anglo Info (Costa Blanca)
Lots of Classifieds , but includes useful information in the INFOrmation section
e.g. on Taxes, Mortgages, Banks, Insurance etc. Voting in US and UK from overseas, Visas and work permits etc..


The English Edition of El Pais is issued with the International Herald Tribune. It is available as a free PDF document download called"herald.pdf". The content of the file changes each day, so if you missed yesterday's edition…you missed it! Excellent in depth editorials and English versions of feature stories and articles. Each PDF is about 3 MB
