Tuesday June 28th 2011

At the Tuesday 28 June Digital Photography Group meeting we reviewed the members Photos of the ¨Homework¨ set at the previous session entitled ¨Water¨ and some imaginative interpretations were submitted. We then discussed the creative use of Zoom Lenses and how they affect composition, the benefits of understanding Histograms on the camera and the meaning of Exposure Values. (PDF copies of the subject notes are attached)

We then experimented with Microsoft ICE, a Panorama stitching Program that is capable of stitching together dozens of individual photos including Giga-Panos - see an example HERE

The Microsoft ICE programme can be downloaded free HERE

We then played with another free Program, Opanda Photo Filter, used for quickly applying a coloured filter effect to a Photo. Download it from HERE
